We are located in central Maine, ½ hour north of Bangor in Penobscot County. We offer guided hunts for spring and fall bear, moose, deer, turkey, and small game. We also provide guides for fishing and recreational canoe/kayak trips. Our guides are all Registered Maine Guides and/or Penobscot Guides. Sustainable and ethical hunting is our top priority. Troy has been a Registered Master Maine Guide for 30 years.

Troy and Brenda White (and their daughter) are your hosts and live on location at the main camp, but also have several camps throughout Maine at strategic hunting locations. His taxidermy and wild game processing shops are located near the main camp. Troy’s mom, Nonie, provides home-cooked meals while you are staying with us. Our modern camp has a full kitchen for those of you who would like to cook for yourselves, satellite TV, wireless internet, and hot showers for your comfort.

Non-hunters are welcome! We offer cabin rentals for snowmobiling, hiking, and general outdoor recreation. Cross-country ski, and snowshoe trails are located within walking distance. The beautiful Maine coast and Baxter State Park are located within an hour and a half of the main camp.

You may arrive as a stranger at Mid Maine Outfitters, but when you leave, we want you to leave as our friend. Our goal is to provide a successful hunt and a week you will always remember. We have a 95% client retention rate!

Call Mid Maine Outfitters to book your amazing adventure! Guided and self-guided hiking trips are available. Baxter State Park and Bar Harbor are close by. Many mountains with easy climbing for good viewing. Hurry up, camps are filling up quickly. Deposit required when making reservations. Camps require 2-night minimum stay. Off-grid camps are $600/week or $100/night. Modern camps are $700/week or $125/night. Call 207.745.1725 to make a reservation.

Camp Alley, Alton, Maine, a private, off-grid camp nestled in the woods with waterfront along Pickeral Pond. Sleeps 12, ample parking, gas lights.

Camp Irish, Lagrange, Maine, a private, off-grid camp on 70+ acres of woods along Birch Stream. Sleeps 6, ample parking, gas lights.

Main Camps, Lagrange, Maine, with modern amenities and private pond. Downstairs camp sleeps 8 and upstairs camp sleeps 4,

Penobscot River Camp, Argyle, Maine, a private camp tucked away on 20 acres with running water, bathroom and full kitchen with Penobscot River waterfront. Sleeps 5.

Maine-ly Moose Camp & RV/Tent sites, Ashland, Maine, a modern camp and RV/tent sites with or without electricity located in Aroostook County and next to the entrance to Northern Maine Woods – lots of rivers, streams and lakes nearby for fishing, trailside for snowmobiles and ATVs, hunting, great hiking trails, lots to do. Sleeps 4.
